Mindfulness

Connecting Mind, Heart and Nature Retreat with James & Jane Baraz – California

An EcoDharma Meditation Retreat at Teravana Coastal Retreat

Friday, May 31 – Sunday, June 2

Cazadero, California

Join us on a transformative journey of self-discovery and mindfulness practice,
guided by esteemed teacher James Baraz and his wife, Jane Baraz.

This retreat draws on both the liberating practices of the Insight Meditation tradition as well as nature-based practices and rituals. The intention is to deepen our understanding of the human mind & heart as well as our sense of belonging to the larger web of life.

We will offer meditation instructions and Dharma talks to support practitioners in quieting and collecting the mind and opening up to insights into the nature of experience.

Embracing the ecological and social crises of our times as part of a sacred, collective learning process, we will offer a variety of heart practices to strengthen the resilience of the human heart.

What’s unique about this retreat?

Mindfulness meditation, rooted in ancient wisdom and the teachings of the Buddha, offers a profound path to cultivating wisdom, compassion, and inner peace. By embracing the practice of insight meditation, we awaken to the richness of our present experience and learn to navigate life’s challenges with courage and love.

In this immersive retreat, we invite you to explore mindfulness not only within yourself but also in relation to the environment around you. Through guided meditation sessions, mindful movement, and reflective discussions, you will deepen your awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings and the natural world.

Join us as we cultivate mindfulness in every facet of our lives, fostering

a deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the planet we call home.
