James and Jane Baraz invite you to join them for an enriching in-person retreat at Teravana, our serene center in California. For those unable to attend in person, we extend the opportunity to participate virtually through live sessions and access recorded sessions at your convenience.
This retreat draws on both the liberating practices of the Insight Meditation tradition as well as nature-based practices and rituals. The intention is to deepen our understanding of the human mind & heart as well as our sense of belonging to the larger web of life. Through meditation instructions and insightful Dharma talks, we aim to guide practitioners in quieting and centering the mind, opening pathways to deep insights into the nature of experience.
If an in-person presence isn’t feasible, you can still immerse yourself in this transformative experience virtually. Our live sessions and recorded content are easily accessible through a sliding-scale donation, making participation inclusive and supporting our non-profit organization’s mission.
Join us from the comfort of your own space, where you can absorb the wisdom and practices shared during this retreat. Your involvement contributes to personal growth as well as a resilient response to the needs of our planet.
What’s unique about this retreat?
Mindfulness meditation, rooted in ancient wisdom and the teachings of the Buddha, offers a profound path to cultivating wisdom, compassion, and inner peace. By embracing the practice of insight meditation, we awaken to the richness of our present experience and learn to navigate life’s challenges with courage and love.
In this immersive retreat, we invite you to explore mindfulness not only within yourself but also in relation to the environment around you. Through guided meditation sessions, mindful movement, and reflective discussions, you will deepen your awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings and the natural world.
Join us as we cultivate mindfulness in every facet of our lives, fostering a
deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the planet we call home.
